Being Aggressive

This year has been a tough one for my family and I.  We have had some major decisions to make, but we made them without regrets.  We decided that we would take the most aggressive course of action that we could.

I did not want to give up my affair with NED ever again. 

In May of 2006, I had an oopharectomy.  I removed my ovaries and joined the masses of older women in menopause.  Yes, I am a 30 year old woman with night sweats, hot flashes and mood swings.  But it sure beats the alternative of ovarian cancer.

In August of 2006, I had a bilateral mastectomy.  I removed both of my breasts and am undergoing reconstruction right now.  Hey breast cancer has no where to go if I don't have breasts!@#

My pathology report and scan results show that there is No Existing Disease.

Ah, there is NED...
