My surgery date is Friday 9/21/07 7:30am @ UCSF Mt. Zion Hospital. To be honest I am really scared for this day. I am having a lot done. Bilateral Mastectomy with DIEP flap reconstruction (they take my stomach fat and make new breasts), hysterectomy and Oopherectomy (ovaries out). I will be in surgery for 10hrs! Please pray that all goes well. They will also be taking bone marrow from my hip bone, a few lymph nodes and the tissue from my breasts to have them tested for cancer cells. This is a great way to find out if I am completely cancer free!

I will be leaving for San Francisco Sunday 9/16. I have pre-op and registration appts on 9/17. My birthday is Wednesday 9/19. I will be 39! What a week! I will return from SF 10/14.

Thank God chemo is over! I am having some side effects from the Taxol. My legs and back bones are achey and walking hurts sometimes. My circulation is not quite back to normal yet so my legs swell if I over do it. I also can easily over do it and need to lay down through out the day. I get this rash on my face off and on. That could be the dry AZ weather though, who knows? I just can't wait to get this all done and over with. I want to get back to normal (whatever that will be).

Thank you all for your prayers and support. Its going to be hard being away from my family for so long. I am sure they will be fine. I have never been away from them for this long.

I will try and update after my surgery so you all will know how it went.
