Hello, my name is Ronnetta Eaton and I am a breast cancer survivor. That’s essentially the beginning and the end of my story. What I have decided to do is to share my journey through this very candidly and honestly, in hopes of helping someone/anyone who is dealing, has dealt or may one day deal with this disease. I believe this forum will also provide me information as well as an outlet to vent some newfound emotions I’ve discovered that I never knew existed. Everything I write will be in English, broken English, Ebonics, 1st person, 2nd person, 3rd person, monologue, along with all misspellings, dangling participles, fragments, misusage of words, etc. and will probably be the most open I’ve ever been in this regard. (English teachers/lovers BEWARE!!! ) Oh and yes, scriptural reference and humor are sprinkled throughout…I’d really be sick without it!
I think it’s important to mention my immediate family since a lot of what I share will include them. I have been married to Gerald for 8 years and we have 3 daughters (Germayne – 7, Jayme – 5 and Jaysen – 7 months). In addition to knowing that my healing has already been provided, (Isaiah 53:4-5 – 4 Surely He took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered Him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. 5 But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed.){Thank you Tiffany}, they give me additional hope.
