2/14/06 I wore my wig for the first time on Valentine’s Day. It was crazy hat/hair day at school, I decided since I don’t have any hair to be crazy I should wear my wig. It was pretty itchy and I was glad to take it off at the end of the day. I can see myself mainly wearing hats. I haven’t tried a scarf yet.
2/15/06 3rd Chemo treatment. This morning when I woke up Travis said “Today your halfway through”, I got excited for a minute but then I remembered it was #3 not #4. Beth (Nortie’s girlfriend & my friend) went and sat with me. Ann brought the fish blanket down from Colchester for me. My next two treatments are in Colchester so I asked her if she would bring it back up for me. The treatment itself isn’t bad, except my blood test showed that I was again anemic and had to have 2 shots at the end of the treatment. One for white blood count and one for red blood count. I’ve gotten an insurance statement $6100 for each treatment. Isn’t that crazy. I wonder how people without insurance pay… Mom met us at the office and brought me home. Travis and I ate dinner early and went to bed early. I was feeling nauseous.
2/16/06 I went to work today knowing that I wasn’t going to last all day. Despite the 10 hours that I slept the night before I was still tired and still sick feeling. I lasted at school until 11:00. When I got home I slept for 4 hours, got up to eat dinner. Travis went and got a movie, I managed to stay awake through most of it, and we went to bed at 8:30. I still can’t believe how much I sleep.
2/17/06 I finally feel rested! I am still feeling sick; it’s like being hung over without the fun of the partying. It’s the hangover that lasts for days. This time is worse than the first two. Today is the last day of school before vacation!! We are moving over vacation. I can’t wait to have everything together since I have been living out of boxes for 3 weeks. Becky is coming home from NC for a few days; I can’t wait to see her. I am going to put her to work helping me unpack!! Tonight we are going to a hockey game, I hope that I can stay awake long enough to watch the game.
Keep the emails coming, I love hearing from everyone! I love you all…
