21: Radiation

6/1/06  I have 13 radiations done, and 20 more to go.  The treatment isn't that bad, it's the drive that is the worst.  Every morning I drive about an hour to Fletcher Allen for about 15 minutes total and then about 45 minutes back to school.  This week my treatments are at 8:00 or before so I have been getting up at 5:30.  It makes for a really long day.  This past weekend we went to NH to Jason and Mandy's wedding.  It was nice to get away and to not have treatment for 3 days!  Last week I got my port out.  Getting it out wasn't bad at all, the 2 hours I waited in a gown on the bed was not fun!  It is healing and I am less like a cancer patient.  My hair is starting to grow, you can finally see some growth.  I will have to get some close up photos so you can check it out.
