7. Pathology Results & more surgery

12/6/06 Today we are on our way to the surgeons to find out the results of the pathology of the tumor is. They are as follows:
1. Grade 3 Cancer (fastest most aggressive)
2. Stage 2b - which means the tumor was 22mm in size with a 1mm tumor in only one lymph node out of 27 taken.
3. The cancer cells are positive for hormone receptors of oestrogen and progesterone & is not Her2 pos.
4. The surgical margin is not clear.

So what does this mean:
1 & 2. will have to have agressive treatement - chemotherapy & radiotherapy.
3. Will have to have tamoxafen to block the hormones eostrogen & progesterone
4. Have to have more surgery to the boob to cut a bigger area TODAY!.
Before I got to have the surgery Im off to visit my mates from work -lots of hug were had and they are so supportive it keeps me going.
Surgery went well and I went home that same day didnt throw up this time thanks to my wonderful anesthetist paul.
