Off to the Radiologist on Tuesday the September 12th. I was nervous again- so felt some upset tummy and dizziness. The people at the office in Nashua were again- wonderful!
We met with the Radiologist and with the nurse and discussed the Radiology sessions I’d have once Chemo was through. I won’t see them again until next year!
They did call for my pathology report from the surgery. At this point- it was in- hot off the presses. I was nervous to hear it- as I was waiting to hear these things out of my doctor’s mouth on my post-op appt on the 14th. But Todd and I were ready.
Long and short of it- my margins were clean, 1of the 4 sentinel nodes had small traces of cancer and 1 of the 13 axillary lymph nodes had cancer- very very small traces- under 1mm.
EXCELLENT NEWS!
I got out of the appointment and there was a message from my doctor on my cell phone. I called her back and she gave me the same news. She told me I was “basically cancer free”.
That is what I wanted for my birthday- and I got it- to be “basically” cancer free for my birthday!
