22 Gastroenterologist 23/10/06 UPDATED

22/8/2006 Ive got an appointment with my gastroenterologist - who I have seen 2 years ago for preventative care as my dad had polyps of the bowel - then I was diagnosed with polyps and diverticulitus.

Since I had a discussion with my cousin Lynne who let me know that her twin sisters both have a condition called Puetz Jagjer Syndrome, this causes overgrowth of polyps in the bowel but it also causes an increased risk for amongst other cancers like Breast Cancer, including Bowel & Pancreas cancer.
Saw Dr and he ashures me that there is no way that I could have the PJS - what a relief that is. Going for the colonoscopy 23/10/06.
So today go for the colonoscopy - did all the prep yesterday - yuck fasting on clear fluids only - jelly broth etc, swallowing the bowel prep, UGGGGG many visits to the loo. But we get on with it - louis george was my anesthetist so that was nice did not recall much at all except going into the OT and then back into the PACU.
So the results are good no new polyps and no change to the diverticular disease.
