10/08/06 Back from Vacation

It has been a long time since I've written as Todd and I had not only been preparing for chemo- but preparing for our trip to Florida to visit with his sister and family.  We also celebrated our 5 Year Wedding Anniversary on October 6th!

We spent the week down there visiting with family- collecting on hugs that were past due- and enjoying the beautiful Florida weather!

We had a fabulous time visiting and enjoying time with Kerri & Mike.  And most of all spending time with our adorable little niece Addie.  She brings a smile to my face everytime she whispers any word or makes any one of her incredible faces.  Hearing her call "Todd and Shannon" just made me laugh!  Spending time with them was a blast- Thank you guys!

We spent a good chunk of the vacation at Disney World- Todd had never been.  We went at a time where the crowds to me seemed all most non-existent.  It was enough of a crowd for Todd to handle- which is good as he isn't a fan of large amounts of people in one little area.

We had an absolutely glorious time!  Enjoyed the food (gained a few pounds despite the 30 or so miles we thought we had walked).  And enjoyed all that Disney has to offer!

We came back to NH on the 8th and went to the grass drags in Epping on the 9th.  The first snowmobiling event of the year always gets us in a tizzy for the upcoming winter.  Hopefully it will be a good one for us this year!

All in all- it was a nice little break from the cancer and the upcoming treatments- and a good time just to be with one another.

I did have a couple of mental breakdowns a couple of the nights at Disney.  Seeing all the adorable little kids in their Halloween costumes.or just clinging to their parents or smiling in their arms- made me long for children- even more that I ever had before.

This cancer has put a speedbump in our lives- but I cannot wait to get it over with and have those children of our own- to cling to and to have theim in our arms....

Here is a picture of Todd and I having our lunch in Canada... or rather Epcot's depiction of Canada. october_2006_pictures_160.jpg
