11/03/06 Duct Tape

Do you ever do strange things? Well I do- and I can’t say that this one was totally my idea actually!

Todd and I were sitting on the couch after watching a movie when I asked him to go get the duct tape.

Now- if you don’t already know- duct tape is a very handy invention and can be used for MANY different things. I used to have an ’87 Nissan Pathfinder that needed body work. I used to keep a roll in my truck to patch up rust holes in it.

Tonight, well, tonight I was going to use it in another way. I was going to use it to remove hair! The little whiskers that were left on my head are not falling out- but can be easily pulled out. They are also a little to a lot uncomfortable under my hats or wig. So Todd gave me the idea to use duct tape to take them out. Not thinking that I’d probably do it though- he got the duct tape for me.

I stuck strips of it on my head and pulled them off slowly. Quickly and painlessly the little stubbies came out and covered the adhesive. It was quite neat- and addicting! I did my whole head! I asked Todd to take a picture- but he refused. Apparently he didn’t want me to document this occasion with a picture!

When all was done – you could only tell in a few spots on my head what I had done. I managed to get a couple of bald spots out of it- but for the most part- I still have a lot of hair up there!

I hope to be able to keep my eyebrows and eye lashes, as some people don’t fully lose those. I hope I am one of them. I still have my arm hair and leg hair.  I can’t even tell you how much quicker my showers go now! It’s great!

So, we can add another one to list of many uses for duct tape – hair removal! And a quick side note- make sure to wash your head right after as it stinks of the tape!
