My appointment was at 9am. I met with my doctor for the first time. He was really nice and explained everything to me in great detail. My kind of doc no messing around. I really like all my doctors. Here is the amazing thing, my nurse who will be helping me with my chemo was the same nurse that helped my dad when he was being seen at UMC. For those of you who do not know my dad lost his fight with Cancer 1/7/07.

Tomorrow I go in at 5:30am to have my port surgery. At 1:30pm I have my 1st chemo treatment. They did blood labs and prescribed my medication as well. I will have Adriamycin weekly. I also have to take Cytoxen in pill form as well as Compazine and Pepcid for nausea. The doc also talked about an injection that I will give to myself to help white blood cells regenerate. Jon will probably do this for me. I guess its like an insulin shot. I will survive this! The next year is going to be a life changing experience thats for sure!
